FreeHey, San Antonio! Are you ready for a night of fun, food, and film history? Mark your calendars because you won’t want to miss this! On Monday, October 23, at 6:30 p.m., Radius Center in downtown is the place to be. And guess what? It’s totally FREE!
Ever heard of Hollywood? Of course, you have! But did you know that San Antonio is like Texas’ very own Hollywood? Yup, that’s right! A long time ago, our beautiful city was where movie magic started. We’re talking about the first Western films ever made, right here in our own backyard!
A cool filmmaker named Gaston Méliès, whose brother made the famous movie “A Trip to the Moon,” lived in San Antonio. He made awesome films showing off places like The Alamo. People all over the world watched his movies!
Now, we’re bringing that movie magic back to life! The Alliance Française de San Antonio is throwing a special event to honor Raphaël Millet. He’s a modern-day filmmaker who’s all about celebrating those classic films. And we want YOU to be a part of it!
Imagine this: a night under the stars, surrounded by friends, enjoying tasty snacks and drinks, all while diving into our city’s secret movie past. Sounds amazing, right? We think so too!
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your friends and family and head over to the Radius Center for a night to remember. Let’s celebrate San Antonio’s star-studded past together!
